			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>UPDATE, September 13:</strong> To assist and inspire contributions to  the Fire Relief Fund, a generous donor has stepped forward and will  match all contributions made to the BJCF Fourmile Canyon Fire Relief  Fund <strong>dollar for dollar</strong> up to a total match of $5,000.  Contributions to the BJCF <strong>postmarked  or posted by 9/18</strong> will be eligible for this generous match.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Boulder Jewish Community Foundation (BJCF) has opened up a  special fund to assist those impacted and displaced by the Fourmile  Canyon Fire.  As we bring in the New Year, please consider making a  contribution to help support your neighbors.  One-hundred percent of all  funds contributed this fund will be used to aid those in need, as the  BJCF operates without any overhead expense.  To contribute to this fund  please mark your check  &#8220;Fourmile Fire Relief Fund.&#8221;  Checks can be sent  to:</p>

<p>The BJCF has recently launched <strong>Grassroots Jewish Boulder</strong> to  solicit individual donations and make additional grants in support of  Jewish causes that may be too small or otherwise not qualify for funding  from other community foundations or organizations. The BJCF recently <a href="http://boulderjewishnews.org/2010/bjcf-announces-2010-grants/" target="_self">awarded over $15,000</a> to local Jewish organizations.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Earlier this week, 2010 grants were made to 17 organizations (see list below) providing services within Boulder County.</p>
<p>Since the organization currently has no employees and all work  (including annual tax preparations) is performed on a volunteer basis,  all funds available for allocation (100%) are distributed to community  organizations.  Overhead fees are absent!</p>
<p>BJCF has recently launched <em>Grassroots Jewish Boulder</em> to  solicit individual donations and make additional grants in support of  Jewish causes that may be too small or otherwise not qualify for funding  from other community foundations or organizations.  These donations may  support “out of the box” types of projects, such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>Scholarships for Jewish communal professionals to attend conferences.</li>
<li>Purchase of study materials for Chavurot.</li>
<li>Underwriting of small community and fundraising events.</li>
</ul>
<p>The Boulder Jewish Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit  organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
